Ishita is engaged in philanthropic activities collaborating with various NGOs. Ishita has also been engaged with Smile Foundation co-founded by her family. Smile Foundation is a mother NGO (it works on a life-cycle approach of development to uplift children, families and communities) providing resources to community-based organizations to serve their immediate communities. Ishita has been a volunteer in its various initiatives such as education, healthcare, women empowerment and youth-centric livelihood programmes.
Currently, Ishita is engaged with Smile Foundation as an honourary consultant with its Strategic Cell with the core focus on skilling and livelihood programmes. Besides giving inputs on key programmes of the foundation she does provide insight to the skilling and livelihood team to initiate the process to impart knowledge, conduct trainings, and fostering new age skills for the underprivileged youth so they can attain employment in the new age workplace, consequent of change in business and economic landscape.
Ishita is also associated with Elderflower Foundation a charitable foundation promoted by her family office.
The organization is focusing on capacity building of individuals, organizations (NGOs) and communities in underprivileged and marginalized section of society across India, directly or through NGOs or communities.
